Remember when you were little and your family would joke about you marrying their friend’s child? Jenna even slept in Rafie’s crib, as his parents gave his crib to Jenna’s parents for their new baby girl. Jenna and Rafie, longtime family friends, married on July 5th at The Curtis Center. The atrium at the Curtis Center is one very large space, and the couple, their families, and their 275 guests, filled up that very large space with love…
Jenna’s mom, Marthe, helps her prepare get dressed in her contemporary two piece gown which she purchased at RDM in Conshohocken. Pearls were part of Jenna & Rafie’s theme, she even had pearls woven into her long hair (no extensions, this waist length hair is 100% hers!) . Hair design by Jason Matthew Salon. When Jenna and her family originally hired me last fall, they were intrigued by the pearls used in my Halloween decorations, a bride-like mummy accented with pearls…
What a gorgeous bride!! Cosmetic application by Karen at Jason Matthews Salon on Walnut Street.
Jenna’s mom, Marthe, with a few sentimental tears, as she helps Jenna with some final touches.
Rafie first sees his bride, in the Omni lobby. I love the collar of this gown and the way it complemented Jenna’s style.
Flowers by Michael Bruce Florist in Westmont, NJ.
I love to know other vendors who are as excited about their work as I am about mine! Quickly after meeting Michael Bruce, it was easy to determine that he loves his entire creative process.
Jenna and her bridesmaids, three beautiful women!
Shown is the atrium in the Curtis Center decorated for Jenna & Rafie’s ceremony. I love the drapery provided by Cescaphe.
The youngest of three flower girls is shown running to catch up with the others. She didn’t have time to sprinkle any flower petals, but she processed down the aisle just perfectly.
Jenna processes down the Curtis Center atrium aisle with her parents.
Jenna’s father, Bob, greets Rafie with a “fist bump” . The families are officially blended by Dad and Rafie’s hug. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these photos!
The huppa (jewish wedding canopy) was constructed from Jenna’s grandmother’s tablecloth.
Catering by Prestige Catering, based in Brooklyn, which offers full service glatt kosher catering.
Jenna & Rafie’s hora was quick and quite rambunctious! Each of their father’s went up in the chair too.
I rely on my many years of sports photography experience to photograph this part of the hora, it’s really quite similar to basketball championships…everyone runs onto the court and celebrates!

This is a great excuse for me to dig into my files and feature some of my vintage photos from Santorini, the exact island that the couple will be honeymooning on! It’s one of the most wonderful places I have ever been. I hope they loved it as much as I did.
The roads only go to the edge of the villages, and then donkeys or mules are used to transport things through the village. This is the village of Oia.
I love these photos! Such emotion! You definitely got some tears from me with the ceremony photos. Beautiful!
Thanks so much, Becky! Hey I worked with Kyle the other night at Laurita Winery, what a nice guy!
